Unlucky Lads...!!!! "So near yet so far"..... Another good season under are belt's, but sadly just not good enough to go up this season. Only missing out on promotion by 2 points. There was just to many games being lost by a handful of pins but i'm sure the team will make no mistakes next year and get us one step closer to the "Promised Land".
The Chuckers would like to pass on there "Congrats" to both Tor Leisure and Blakes 8 on getting to the dizzy heights of Div 2.
Are last game of the season was an up and down affair. Started off with some great skittles with 6 spares in the first 4 hands, the highlight of which was Marko's 18 (Nearly a double flopper) and Scouse's 17. But the last 2 hands were not to the captains liking because the team was on for it's highest home score as the lads took there "eyes off the prize" and went down with 2 "shocking" hands. Marko finally ending up with a tote winning score of 66.
But in winning, we put a nail in the coffin of are opponents - Pistz. Who's relegation was sealed the day after due to Brit Boys and Wells Rangers both having "rare" wins.
The Captain would like to say "well done" to Barmy for Winning the Highest Average Prize (£50)... AGAIN..!!. Also the Captain would like to thank all the players and are sponsors (HILL & HILL GARDEN SERVICES and MJ SPORTS) for there support through the season and is hoping to see you all again next season for another go at winning promotion.

Another good win for The Chuckers this week and the captain was wishing the team could've played like that over the xmas period and we would now be looking forward to playing in Div 2. On that note, The Chuckers would like to pass on there Congrats to are fellow Shepton Mallet team Blakes 8 for gaining promotion, on the back of us beating there nearest rivals and helping them have a nice relaxing last game this week....!!!!!
As for the Chuckers, It was Mr Ugly that took the tote with a score of 63 (that's what he can do when he's not on his mobile to his mum....!!!). But all in all it was an above par performance and the team has just one more game to go.

Well Played Chuckers....!!! We knew we had it in are locker somewhere and it finally clicked...!!! First ever score of 400 at home and to be honest it could have been a lot more than are final score of 400. We had 4 players in the 50's (Mr Ugly, Scouse, Barmy, Wonder), But the star of the show was Viz with a fantastic score of 70. So he will now have his name in the Journal, This won't be the first time this season, But please make sure you look in the sport pages and not near the front.
Only 2 games to go now. We should have been promoted by now but hopefully the team has learned you have to play to the finish of each game and not just turn up and expect to win. This has cost us this season and bar a minor miracle it will be Div 3 for us next season.

Well that was a close one ..!!! The lads were a bit under par last night due to us starting with 7 players but Landlord stepped in to add a couple of pins to the total. But the team did just enough to scrape a win by 11 pins. The Wareham's were the only to players that showed any form, Wonder was beaten to the tote by Marko (58) (he should have had his name in the paper but was to busy playing pool inbetween hands)... SILLY BOY..!!
